Linda Vinck has been developing for almost five decades a consistent body of work around rhythm and pattern formation. This comprehensive publication contextualises and presents the artist's oeuvre, leading to introducing and discovering her prolific language as a visual artist about her unique artistic identity.

Linda Vinck (°1942 , lives and works in Mortsel ) is a painter who puts the concept of rhythm and repetition at the centre of her work. Characters or symbols she constantly repeats according to rhythmic patterns, until they finally converge into one whole. She deploys lines, shapes and colours in this way, making her canvases seem to grow organically. The organisation of chaos and the structure in disorder, are the keys in her work, both in her graphics and paintings.
